This was a session that I had to miss due to constraints about lockdown. However, sites is something that I have used for a few years now, building up resources that allow me to 'clone' myself in the classroom. It also came from needing an easy to access curriculum for my kids who are scattered around New Zealand in the OLC (this is my third year of teaching English online).
Sites is super simple to use and enables rewindable learning. It's been a learning journey and we're always updating the site (it became a department site during 2020's lockdown). But just like teaching, I don't think you're ever 'done' and if you think you are, it's either time to retire or to do something different.
Our next steps are to think about the site to increase interactivity. We have great authentic texts that borrow from the secondary information literacy work that we've done with Massey University and we're developing rewindable learning as we go.
